Curious of everyone's thoughts on The Open.

My two cents, was exciting to watch both Mickelson and Stenson played beautifully, course played great, only complaint was there wasn't any others challenging them, (not that it was a bad thing).

Twitter kind of lit up on complimenting the R and A and blasting the USGA. Greens were not the fastest, rough not the tallest, (although gorse was tough).

I have to say my favorite shot of the day was Phil's chip on 17, while not executed perfectly, the options that he was able to think about on that shot, to me make up the game of golf. Not superfast greens and tall rough.

The Open was fun to watch. Stenson and Michelson put on a fabulous duel and the R & A put on a great tournament. I enjoy watching the US Open but the USGA is bad for the game.

Fantastic tournament. Great course and setup, incredible final round duel. Sorry USGA, birdies more exciting than pars.

I agree that the event was very entertaining. It was great to see two guys "dueling" it out and playing quality golf. But if one of them was leading by 10-12 strokes without any competition, I don't think we would be saying how great it was. Contrary, I appreciate what the USGA is doing....they are taking the course set-up to extremes. But these are the best golfers in the world. I enjoy when they have to "squirm" a bit, but I also marvel and applaude when they create a "miracle shot. I enjoy both Opens because of the diversity in courses and players.
