For those of you who still overseed greens and stay open during the germination process, I was wondering how many people continue mowing compared to waiting 5-7 days until the plant has come-up and then mow at a higher height.
I have always stopped mowing and then picked back up mowing at a higher height like .200 and worked the heights down, but am interested in not stopping.

I never had the luxury to stop mowing and the overseeding always worked out very well. It is disconcerting to see the seed in the buckets and germinating in piles in the dump, but the putting surfaces always came in very nicely.

    Scott,

What's your process wants the seed I is out? The next day it is back to mowing as usual? Raise the height a little? Mow when dry? Ect?

The course is closed for 1 day to get the seeding completed and in the past the guests were informed that the greens were being grown in.

We sprayed Primo at 2-4 oz/A then did not mow for a few days after overseeding. After that we mowed in the morning and did not syringe. Mowing the following day after overseeding was something Jerry Cheesman recommended when he was at Lake City in 1983. This was before Primo and always worked for me.
