   Looks like slime mold. Has it been pretty wet and cloudy? It showed up on my Bermuda like crazy this week. It won't hurt anything and should go away once it drys out a bit.

   If the black greasy look does not change into white or gray balls, it is probably not a slime mold. It could be cyanobacteria (algae). Take a look at this photo: http://www.paceturf.org/photo/showphoto.php?photo=159
