Anybody using the Kirby fairway markers and do you like them? Any problems with fairway mowers being damaged or damaging the markers?

    Thanks

Had them years ago...no damage to mowers, had to replace a few markers each year that got damaged. Didn't like the look, but they functioned well.

Used them years ago. Went to sprinkler lid yardages. I have a bunch of the outer rings (brand new) you can buy for cheap.

They are not maintenance free. The triangular yardage pieces come out. The spring sometimes goes flat.

We have them. I like the look, but they fade, as probably others do too. I installed all in about 2005 and have started to replace some the last couple years. We have fairways at about .4 '' so they are easy to see and we haven't had any mower damage apart for one or two the past 7 years. We use them as yardage center of green and have all sprinklers marked to front of green. To sum up they are good but a pricey investment so make sure you can afford to switch out the top plates and rings every 5-10 years.

I have used Kirbys in the past. They are great the first few years, but I agree with the other guys. They fade, the triangles come out, the spring gets stuck. We have never damaged a mower but we sure have cut the triangles into pieces. Just last year I replaced all Kirbys and now am using cheaper ydg markers that I can repaint periodically if that says anything to you...
