We were looking for a way to blow our greens surrounds after mowing with the sidewinder without taking a body away from another morning job.

So I we came up with this idea! Click the link below.

Nice idea! Does the grass get blow into the greenside bunkers then, or is that part of the mowing pattern change?

Tony, we did that at PCC with our 8800 rough units. I have some photos somewhere I can send you. The hitch was adjustable so you could change the pitch of the unit being towed by the rough unit. We first did this at Kalamazoo Country Club back in the early to mid 2000's with the LF 3400 fairway units. I have photos of that too in one of our presentations. Reason was low staff during the fall time so we could mow and blow fairways at the same time. The concept works great, but you need an operator that pays attention to what they are doing;)

    Regards,

Hector, nice hitch for the the sidewinder!!

Yes, that is part of the pattern change :)

It's been working out pretty good.

I"ll be posting a video up next week.

I have been playing with an idea similar to this, but instead of towing it I wanted to turn it sideways remove the hitch and tires and mount one side to the rear bumper of the 4500 and have the other half with mounted castors kinda like the ones on a 3pt hitch blower. That way I could back up and maneuver it better... Dunno if its possible or not

Everything is possible, it's just a matter of how long it would stay there before a crew member had it laying next to a tree:)
