I have a 3500D that doesn't seem to cut. The blades are sharp. The blades are turning. The height is correct. Am i correct in saying that the pressure built up from the rotaries will cause the grass to stand up in order to be cut? Maybe this could be it? If so how do i check, trouble shoot and repair?

Don't take this question wrong, but are the blades installed correctly, with the sharp edge in the leading direction? I've caught my mechanic with improperly installed blades in the past!

By chance, are the blades spinning the correct way? A while back we did some hydraulic work on our side winder and the mechanic had the lines that powered the mowers crossed. Might be worth a check?

You could have a sticking valve. I had one in the past that the blades were turning slowly, and I replace the valve by the control lever on top of the hydraulic valve body. Don't know the number but I probably could dig it up on Monday if you needed.
