I am looking for a 24x12x12 with smooth tread, similar to a greens triplex, to put on my truck mounted topdresser.
Does anyone have a supplier or source they have used before?

How will you maintain traction with the unit? A triplex is far different than a cart, especially when loaded with a couple thousand pounds of sand.

There is a long lost are of tire shaving. 30 + years ago, when ever I bought new tires for my car, I would take them to this guy who would shave them so they were perfectly round (he is still in businesses today in Central FL). The difference was night and day with the smoothness of the ride. If you can't find the smooth tire, maybe shave down a turf tire a bit to get the results you are looking for.

    Stephen,
They are available. Carlisle makes them. I've used them for the past 15 years on my Workman with Dakota topdresser and Workman with 200 gallon sprayer. I get mine thru Ken Jones tire in Worcestor, Mass. As far as handling and stability issues, there hasn't been any.

    Alan,
You don't happen to have a part number or Carlisle reference number on them do you?

    Stephen,
The part number from Ken Jones web site is 510710 for Carlisle smooth 24x13x12. Ken Jones phone number is
1-800-225-7513. I run mine at 20 psi to keep sidewall flex down to a minimum. The sidewall can hit the bolts on the frame of the workman if anything less than 16 psi when loaded. 24x13x12 instead of 24x12x12, that's the differance.
