Just reading GCM and see that goosegrass in greens is being taken seriously. Taking MSMA out of the arsenal ruins the remainder of the options. You are going to end up with resistant weeds that won't be phased. Why is Asulox not available? If it is price, just raise the price. Right now you got nothing. Will the grass turn turf brown? Hell yeah it will, but it always comes back healthy, happy and weed-free!

I did testing with a Syngenta Scientist with Avid and incredibly toady greens 15 years ago. From my perspective I had roots that went from NONE and dying greens to Tifdwarf roots six inches long. From the scientist's perspective he went from too many nematodes to count to zip. I don't know how long Avid has been recommended for nematode control, but I knew about it 15 years ago.

What else is out there that works that we are not taking advantage of?

I'm a diehard Sencor fan. Put it in almost every tank when spraying grassy weeds. Even as far as using Sencor to "dot" Goosegrass on greens works. Used to use a lot of Illoxan and always timed my Goose apps on greens to right after July 4th. Got anything small and typically a follow-up app of either Illoxan or Revolver took care of most. Now that Illoxan is going by the wayside, I've had to experiment with adding Dismiss South into my Revolver apps on greens to get decent control. All that being said, the greens I had Goose issues with were taken care of last week. Dug them out 16" and put in new soil.

I remember about 10 or so years ago it was recommended that I spray Avid on greens for the "Mites" I had. Results similar to Nemacur.

Another good one that people that often forget about it MSM. At $6/ac, you can't go wrong. I also like ProSedge, which is the old Manage, for purple and yellow nutsedge. Priced about $60/ac. If it worked way back when, it will work today.
