About a month ago my mechanic had a 300 lb. boulder fall on him and break his hip while on a Sun. after noon hike. He has made incredible progress with his healing and may be back to work before long. Really just to tinker with things and get out of the house. It will be almost a full year from now before he can lift heavy object's or get under equipment with much ease. He is incredible and in my eyes worthy of the MVT award. My question is, do any of you know of turf related lifts that fit our equipment or is an auto lift with attachments the only way to go? If I was to purchase one it would allow him to return to actual work sooner. This would relieve me from my stand in duties of adjusting machines and servicing them. Not to mention, give him something to do other then sit in the house. Thanks for any advice or references.

We bought the GL-9 quite a long time ago. We are very happy with it and the price was very reasonable.

    Golf Lift. GL9.

My mechanic always told me he didn't need one.....until we got one. Less than 6K, self installed. Less than 2 days with electrical.

We also have a GL-9. The other option I know of is Trion.

    Lucas,
You really have to decide if you want a two post or four post. The four post are typically drive on with all four wheels on the side trays and you then need a jack to lift a wheel off for wheel maint.
The two post are all basically auto lifts with a front tray for the two front or rear wheels or single wheel of a three wheel unit. The rear wheels are lifted by forks, or the whole machine can be lifted on four points that radiate out from the two posts. Years ago I had a Hydra-Lift, similar to a Manatowic, both made in Canada. They were both much cheaper than those specifically sold for the golf market.
And yes, they can be a GREAT advantage for an ailing technician but more importantly, they allow the tech greater mobility and better access for service.
You will need to think about vertical access and power requirement, 110 or 240 volt.

A lift will be a valuable asset to your maintenance department.
