takes the time to help us out!

Guys you may or may not know it but the post and replies you add to this board is a huge help to the rest of us in this industry. While I am a GCS I got started in this business as an Equipment Tech and the info you guys give out (FREE OF CHARGE) is very valuable to the rest of us. I kust wanted to say thanks from the rest of us.

I have an idea for a post if any of you happen to find the time.
Why not take pictures of your shop and add them to a single post for the rest of us to see. Just capture the parts you are most proud of or your personal work space. I think we all know about Hector's work space, and he has provided a lot of valuable videos for us to use.
I think it would be fantastic to see different work spaces because it gives the rest of us ideas for improving our spaces.

Thanks again guys, keep up the good work

    Jame's

Thank You so much! Sometimes a simple "Thank You" goes a long way! We have a lot of great techs out there, with some pretty cool set ups.

One of these days I would love to travel and just visit every shop out there.

I hope we get alot of guys to participate on this post!

Here are some shops already featured on "World Shop's"

    Thank you very much.

I am a Super with a crew of 5 at peak season. We have a very very small budget for a 18 hole course. Most of my equipment was bought used when the course added 9 holes in 2000. So working with 15 year old and even older equipment is tough. I have learned most on my own, but this forum has helped out alot. Even one more person's advice or "eyes" can help tremendously.

Hector, I know even though some will never say it but the equipment tech is the most important werson on our crew. I know a few assistants who may get peeved off because of it but we mostly expect the Assistant to move on in a few years to better himself but we always hope and sometime pray that our Equipment tech stays as long as we do. I have been through 5 equipment techs in my 20 years with the first one (who was working when I got here) leaving after 1 month because he did not like doing things my way (he preferred the lazy way). The last two have been great with the one before our current one retiring at 73.
Fortunately I started in this business as an equipment tech and have a complete understanding of that side of the position. This allows me to hire qualified people that may not have the complete understanding of golf course equipment and teach them up.

My whole point on this thread is that you guys give advice freely with no strings attached. This is the only business I have ever been in where this happens. It is what makes this business so great. your hands on experience can be better then any dealer service techs. All we have to do is ask!

    Thanks again!
