crab grass in bentgrass greens?? Cancel The title field is required!

   I recently started a job at a course that has greens filled with crabgrass. I was wonder in anyone knew a herbicide combo that could help? I have tried test areas in the greens with Drive and MSMA at different rates with a little success but it dings the bent too much .

   Some fellow supers here in NJ told me they use acclaim extra at 2-4 oz/Acre

   I have used Drive at the 1/2 rate with good success. Whereas with the DF formulation, 1/2 lb/acre. would usually add 12-0-0 Fe to the mix to offset discoloration.

   Use Acclaim. 4 oz/acre. Works really well. Never have had an issue with hurting bent.

   acclaim will not take out crabgrass past the two tiller stage at 4oz/a or less. acclaim needs to start in the spring and go out every 12-14 days.

   I use the "Andersons" pre emerge with Dithiopyr. I like it because it extends my window of application. Great as a pre and post for crabgrass. If for any reason I need to follow up from breakthrough, I use Quali Pro DG @ 1lb/acre.
   Seaside and Penncross bent.
