Waitea patch Cancel The title field is required!

   I'm looking for some info on Waitea Patch on T-1 bent/Poa greens and some ideas on products for curative applications. Rates/number of apps. Any help is appreciated!

   I may be in the smaller of most peoples opinion, but haven't paid much attention to this disease. I have seen it on my greens several times in the spring but haven't really worried about it. I was always due for my normal greens spray (dac/DMI) and some fert. Always cleared up for me.

   I have seen a little bit of it right around when I'm doing my Proxy/Primo spray and I put I pro dine in to clean it up and it has worked great.

   In past experience with this disease, you can treat it, or wait a week or so and it will grow out of it, does no actual damage to the plant. It's merely superficial for a short term. However I usually treated as a part of my fairy ring prevention anyway.

   Affirm and Endorse (polyoxin D) are fast for control. DMI's provide longer duration control. The combination of a DMI and polyoxin-d is great. Here are a couple of graph illustrating the results.

   Increasing N also helps, but it takes high N rates that are not realistic for greens.

   Brown ring patch caused by Waitea circiniata is a pretty interesting disease and it can cause lasting damage if conditions are right.

   Thanks guys, last year I did what most of you talked about and didn't treat it, since it was only effecting the Poa I was not concerned plus I did not have very much of it. This year I have maybe 3 to 4 times the amount that I did last year so I think I will spray for it.
