I have a Toro 6500D that overheats. I have check everything hoses, radiator, fan clutch, thermostat. One of the biggest problems is the clippings getting sucked up against
the intake screen. Has anyone had this problem and what can be done to fix it.

I've got one that does that too. Also checked what you did. Some say flush the radiator and refill with spec fluid and conditioner . I wonder if the overheat switch may be off then when it shuts off it gets a little hotter then really won't start. I have opened hood and drove in ok.i am not so good with little diesels wonder if injectors spraying bad pattern could cause it? Hope you figure out we don't really get into mowing season until May and it takes a warm day and load to get hot enough to shut off.
