I have an opportunity to pick up a couple John Deere 8000E fairway mowers for a great price. We currently mow with 3 John Deere 3225Cs. I am looking for any opinions on the 8000E mowers? And, I know the mowing width would be reduced from 100" down to 80", did anybody notice it taking much longer to mow compared to the older unit? I know 80" is smaller than 100", but there was a document I found by John Deere that claimed you could mow almost the same square footage in the same time because they claim you can mow at a little faster ground speed and with the smooth tires you can reduce turning radius without damage..
