Does anyone has experience/ information on treating metalaxyl injury on bermudagrass? Will activated carbon charcoal beneficial in this case? Appreciate any comment/ suggestion.

I have sprayed a ton of that on bermudagrass for over 30 years. I never saw a problem. Spray the charcoal but look for another cause for the injury in my opinion.

Thanks for advise Scott, understand your view on safety of the product but my situation is unique where metalaxyl was mistakenly applied with mabcozeb's rate via label error from vendor, meaning 8 oz psf of metalaxyl was applied against normal preventative rate of 1 to 2oz psf.

Is the crown of the plant damaged or could it be a foliar burn that will grow out? Which bermudagrass is it?

Yes foliar burnt out, chlorosis observed 3rd day after application. New leafs emerging at present just worry if die back or presence of residue. Bermuda tifdwarf.

I would think Tifdwarf would take it better than an ultradwarf. If you have new leaves emerging already I would presume you are out of the woods.

    Thanks Scott.
Yes we can see new growth with good weather these 2 days. Lucky we are not sitting on region affected by polar vortex! Appreciate your sharing.
