We are looking for new pre-emergent ideas to control mostly goosegrass. Has anyone applied a granular form of dimension plus gone with an acclaim program on bentgrass greens? We have heard some people use this combination but would like to get some feedback.
    Thanks

I plan on using "Anderson's" 9-0-18w/.165% Dimension this year. I'm having more Crab issues than goosegrass. Since it has pre and post properties, it will give me a wider window to apply it. It comes in a granular form with an SGN of 75. I know Supers in my area, Tx Panhandle that have used it and really like the results.
I've used their goose and crab for years w/ moderate results....tried the split apps also...but it seems to fail mid season. Mainly on the crab. You might look at some sprayable "Oxidiazon" products too. Bensulide takes to many apps for me to mess with as a stand alone. Timing is a big issue too, soil types..ect
Maybe at some point someone will market those 2 products together...That would be nice

I've tried the granular products at various rates, timing with limited success. The past 2 seasons I have been using the Dimension Ultra WSP. I apply it in 3 split applications, 1 WSP per acre, April 15, May, June. I have had 99.99% control of goose and crab. We spray at 2 gal/1000 and follow immediately with 9 mins of h20.

Did you have any root prune going into the summer months??

    No,
Not any root pruning at all in the season. Our root system is actually exceptional with super deep roots during the summer.
