We are currently looking to update our irrigation radio communication to the narrowband requirement per the FCC. Our updating options include purchasing all new Toro hardware, or following a retro-fit process from a company called BoardTronics Inc. based out of CA. Anybody familiar with the company that could say anything about their services? We hadn't heard of the company until just recently. Anybody with any information would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Kathy Thacker and Boardtronics do all of our board repair work. They are timely in their repairs, and will even send you replacements parts while your parts are being shipped to them. They are way cheaper than dealing with the factory or OEM manufacturer like Toro. I would highly recommend them and their services.

We have used them to repair/replace our old Rain Bird 1230 clocks (or whatever the number is)

I echo what Andy said. Kathy and the team at Boardtronics are great.

First time I used them was in Sept of '08, had a flood that 4 controllers sat in water, they gave me all the info I need to do for cleanup and sent them pieces for necessary repairs. Had it all back together in less than a week including freight time.

I use them all the time, and the biggest test was when I got hit by a direct lightning strike in June on my radio remote...Sent everything over to them and had it back in less 5 days...couldn't have been happier. Took longer to get my radio antenna replaced than to get the components fixed....
