    If you go to this guys Twitter account he has video of the broadcasters stating "Oakmounts greens roots go down like 18 feet"
    It wasn't Johnny Miller

    Some people think long roots cause excess organic matter. I prefer having no roots so that organic matter isn't an issue with me.

    I also thought Jack may very good comment when asked about the "slower than normal" greens at Oakmount this year. He stated something to the effect " people forget that back when I was winning, the greens in general were putting slower than the current fairways at Oakmount " That is a clip I would like to have in my archives

    Finally, people willing to step forward and denounce an active root zone! The ultimate sod is what we have been referring to for years as clippings.
    I predict by 2019 all but the holdouts will be topdressing with Portland cement. :mrgreen:
