We were fortunate to have been selected as the 2011 winner of the Golf Digest, USGA Green Star Award. If you guys get a chance, check out the November issue of Golf Digest. They did a very nice write up on us and we truly feel honored to have been selected. They covered more than just Barona Creek Golf Club by reviewing the entire facility. I had the good fortune to spend a few hours with both Ron Whitten and Jim Moore to share our story. I think it is great for our industry to have Golf Digest and the USGA spreading a positive message of how we operate.

Congratulations Sandy, probably very well deserved. It must be nice working for owners that understand the need for policies and procedures that you no doubt have in place to receive such an award.

Pete, Gumby is green and he was just charged with a misdemeanor last week. Somehow, Pokey, although an accomplice was not charged! They both receive a green demerit award for being so stupid.

By the way, congratulations to you and your staff on the award. Always great to see recognition for the good work many golf courses do.

Congrats Sandy on a job well done by you and your staff. I'll even pull for the Aztecs this weekend in NO.
