Using the vicon to spread ryegrass for first time. Looking for baseline settings for # seed per acre, and which nozzle to use with seed. I have one long, one medium plastic, and a small metal. Used the medium plastic for fertilizer on tees and fairways.

We have never got to precise with vicon seeding but we use the long plastic shute that is used to fert, and just set it to the highest setting as we have had issues with the seed bridging the holes.

We use the longer plastic nozzle as well for rye grass. 3rd gear when in a hurry, setting 56 was aprox 225lb/Acre. I think 2nd gear was 250lb/A at setting 56, and more consistent. As John was saying Im sure a lot of that seed is not getting into the holes or bridging. I like to throw four bags in spread it over an acre, adjust appropriately, and then keep back checking as I go.
