Still missing a certain orange jersey'd team, maybe a win over Cincinatti this week will get us an honorable mention. I'm not ready to buy into the Florida State hype, they've been mediocre for too long. Top 15 yes, top 5 no. Boise is more deserving after the beatdown of a pretty good Georgia team. Your Tigers looked pretty good but there can only be one SEC west team in the end so time will tell. The secret to beat Oregon is out, just out physical the finesse team. Stanford and maybe USC will have their way with them in the pac 10 this year so I don't imagine them staying long in the top 10. It will be interesting to see how the one dimensional style (at least my perception of them) of Nebraska will play out in the more physical Big 10. My thinking is that they will get beat.

FSU gets to warm up with Charleston Southern this week, then it will be Oklahoma, with college game day there, playing at night in Tallahassee was always tough.

We're good but our schedule is too tough.....short week next week and travel to State for a Thursday nite game, then travel to West by gawd Virgina the following week..........too many tough road games in my opinion.............but I've been wrong before.....just ask Scott W

Picks of the Week: #9 Okla State vs Arizona +14 repeat of a bowl game the results should be the same.
Missouri +7.5 vs ASU.....one is ranked one is not and the ranked team getting points........another reason NOT to take Missouri into the SEC. #3 LSU vs NLU.......no line.....Tigers have outscored them 417-0 in ten meetings.
#1 Alabama at Penn State +10.........long time since Jo Pa was a 10pt dog at home.......Tide covers. #5 Stanford at Duke + 21....a meeting of the minds but not the football teams.....Cardinal covers. #6 Wisconsin vs Oregon State +21..........Badger defense did not show much against the Rebels but should show up this week.# 8 Oregon vs Nevada +13.......Ducks are pissed and owe them one besides........I like the quackers. # 11 VaTech at ECU + 20.......Pirates played the Cocks close and should do the same with the Hokies. #13 So Carolina at Georgia + 3..........both looked pathetic last week.......Gamecocks should win.........long season for Richt.#14 Arkansas vs New Mexico + 37 a mismatch even with the Hogs offensive losses in the last few weeks.......Ark will score in bunches. # 12 Nebraska vs Fresno State +28.........Pete's team........the WAC should bet whacked by the Huskers

Oregon wasn't a road game and, other than Alabumble, the rest are pedestrian.

But maybe they could schedule a team that could at least kick one field goal every 10 years?

Every team mentioned is ranked in the Top 25 with the exception of UT. For those west of the Rockies who have not had the pleasure of a football game in Knoxville I stand by my statement. Just the number of times the band will play Rocky Top would be banned from Gitmo as cruel and unusual punishment. The last time I checked Dallas was in the state of Texas , about 8-9 hours from the LSU campus. Just because Tigers travel and Ducks do not is not my fault...........stay on the west coast and play it safe next year

Nice to see NLU kicked a 3-pointer. LSU Special Teams Coordinator's job is probably on the line now.
