   I am looking for sources of good sand in the West Texas area. We are far from the grid so trucking is always an issue.

   I'm in the Tx panhandle Mike....Get mine from "West Tx Sand and Gravel" out of Amarillo Tx...USGA spec...

   We are in West Texas about 1 hour southwest of Alpine . There is another small town about 20 miles from us called Terlingua.

   The old course used to play a par three to mexico. Since it was destroyed by a flood in 2008 I believe, the course has been rebuilt. Used to have bent grass as well. Now we have platinum paspalum wall to wall.
