   I have a carryall1 that when going up a hill the motor will pause then let out a huge plume of smoke. The cart will then carry on and repeat every 100 yards or so. Has anyone else seen this before?

   Check the butterfly valve in the carb. They tend to get stuck open or closed if exposed to a lot of sand or dust.

   Check the oil level, had one do that to me while in Tennessee. Seemed to mostly happen when the engine was hot from running around doing syringing. The engine was wore out to boot but it was the most reliable cart I had.
