Has anyone had any experience with this machine and if so how did it work. We had Dave from ISTRC and he recommended blowing air into drain lines to help porosity(drains work poorly due to crappy mix used 18 years ago). Watching the video seems to make some sense and looks sort of cool.

Thanks, four inches of snow Friday and golfers waited for it to melt most of yesterday!

I know these guys and Glen Black personally. It took me a few years to get on board with it simply due to the fact that the one green they did for me as a demo worked too good. The green that was normally wet dried out very quickly and completely turned it around. I have them scheduled to come out in a few weeks to do my push up greens, which they typically do every year. The worst greens that never drained are now as consistent as the rest. If you are skeptical about it, maybe see if they can do a few of your greens as a demo or for a reduced cost.

The machines also work good for breaking up hardpan in poorly draining bunkers.

I had this machine do a demo on one of my practice greens in the Spring. It was less than impressive and very time consuming. Measuring it against the other 2 practice greens= No visible difference either immediate or long term.

How long are we talking about for your average size green?

We only did the one practice green, and we were there 45 minutes minimum.

It is slow. But, the guys start in the evening and finish the next day ahead of play. Takes about 8 hours to do 2.5 acres of greens. They have some larger machines now, so it may not take as long.
