For any of you fine folks that have any comments on shatter tines I'd be interested to hear them. We are throwing around the idea of trying this type of tine in place of a standard solid 1/2 inch tine on greens. The idea is that these shatter tines, which resemble a cross or plus sign ( + ), spread out the surface area but still give you the same amount of soil disruption as that of a standard solid 1/2 inch tine. These are supposed to be beneficial due to decreased healing time. If any of you have likes or dislikes we'd love to hear. We are located in the Midwest with soil based greens.
