Curious we have a few issues with 2 pieces of equip.

First is our electric boom actuator on our 1250, has anyone found a replacement for this item, priced through Toro, its $1400!

The other is a steering valve on a 3500, has anyone had luck getting rebuilt? They are checking but we replaced the exact one 600 hours ago and the seal is out again, we took the last one apart to see if we could put in a new seal and call it good, but as the valve was disassembled parts were falling out and no idea how to get it back together!! So this one I have yet to take apart and will be looking into a hydro repair company, cost new is +$600.

    Thanks for any replies

    Ryan,

There was some talk about the boom actuator on the old forum. Something about taking it to Carquest and they were able to match it with something else that worked but much stronger even.

    Ryan,

We ran into the same problem here recently with our Toro sprayers. Check the link below.

    https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?catname=&qty=1&item=5-1680-6

I researched actuators for nearly two days before finding these. To buy an aftermarket Thomson (the manufacturer of Toro's actuators) it was going to be just under $600. The ones in the link above came out to $267 with shipping. We've been using them for three months now with great success. You may have to measure your throw on the actuator to see if it's the same 5.3" as the ones we have. I'm not sure off the top of my head what size the 1250's are equipped with. In the event they are not 5.3" stroke, just search for "linear acutator" in the top left corner of the page and all of the other sizes they carry will be displayed.

As for the steering column, we have had good success with SunSource Hydraulics. They are a national company with locations across the U.S., including Kansas City. Check the link below for the contact information.

I hope this all helps, best of luck!

    Ryan,
Thanks a bunch for the info on Surplus Center, the new actuator works great and for 230 bucks I can get 4 or 5 more before I meet the factory part! Little modification but works like a charm

    Ryan,

I'm glad it worked out. We had to do some modifications ourselves and I am sorry I did not mention that in my original post. Best of luck the rest of the year!
