Used Toro 648? Cancel The title field is required!

   How many hours would you feel comfortable with when buying a used 648? I am in the market for one and have the chance to get a unit with around 800 hours. Thanks in advance.

   800 hours is nothing for the motor or the machine. Only thing I would be concerned with is bearings on the aerification unit itself. But, even then, 800 hours seems early for bearing failure.

   You can rebuild the coring head with all new bearings for under 400 bucks. It's not that bad of a job, just make sure everything goes back in the exact place it came out of and timing is set correctly. They are bullet proof and with regular services will last you many years.
