I'm looking for pine straw in north east PA. Anyone near me use this for under trees? I'm looking for 1/2 a truck load.

That sounds like "Augusta Syndrome". I remember a landscape supplier that was advertising in Hazelton that sold it. Other then having it shipped from the south, good luck. Years ago I actually investigated starting this business. Shipping was ridiculous.

Corbins and East Coast advertised in GCM for years. They are fine companies but they are selling short needled stuff, Jack Pine or Slash Pine I think. I like buying loblolly and longleaf straw from NC around Pinehurst. Nice stuff, 2 bales will do what 3-4 bales of the Georgia stuff covers. Kind-of a co-op down there http://qualitypineneedles.tripod.com/. Contact Doug Williams 910-673-2810.

Get on their list for a 1/2 load and when they get a truck coming your way you can split a load with another course, garden center, etc. Always ask to be the first delivery so your bales are closer to the tailgate. Kenneth Ingram, UMD
