Turf-Tec Moisture Meters

    Just trying to collect some information on these meters.Their ideal levels say between 25% -75%. They seem to have a different way of measuring soil moisture than the TDR 300. I hear about guys using the TDR's being around 11%-20% I'm trying find out more about these meters and if people are using them with success, and where people are setting their moisture levels with the Turf-tecs.

    What you said is spot on. I will be following this thread. I use the Turf Tec everyday. We shoot for a consistant 25%. Very hard to do with USGA spec greens. Soon as the plant gets below 20% its too late and wilted and very hard to rewet the sand--and this happens quickly on a dry day--could be in just a few hours. VERY fine line between 18- and say 25. The TDR is most likely more accurate--just my 2 cents.
