How many years of using Simazine for pre and post-emergent control of poa can you expect. At our facility I saw the overuse of revolver lead to its eventual ineffectiveness. I do not want this to happen with Simazine. I have heard resistance issues can happen quickly. We never go dormant enough to use glyphosate, and kerb is harsh and expensive. We have used specticle, but saw some break through. I am talking about products to treat the entire course. Exonerate would only be feasible for greens. Sencor is too harsh and diquat doesn't get the root.

I used Simazine last year to clean up what broke through our specticle apps. I am going to use it this year wall to wall. Simazine was not used at this facility since 2005 until last year.

Any thoughts on Simazine or any other products to fight poa would be appreciated.

The first couple of years you should be pretty good, interesting that you had break through with Specticle, what rate?

First app of specticle was 4 oz/ acre then a follow up app of 3 oz/acre. Hurricane Mathew was probably to blame. We had around 20" of rain and the clean up set back my follow up application by two weeks. I will probably use specticle again next year, but this year I am only using Simazine.
