   Looking for any advice regarding putting the course to bed, spent most of my career in the desert. This new site has extremely low temps, minimal snow cover and high winds (what a combo). Wondering about the soil moisture going into these conditions and using a heavy topdressing with Evergreen blankets on the greens.

   Sounds like you are on the right track with the topdressing and blankets. Other ideas are to create wind breaks with snow fences or branches...just anything to keep any snow that may fall around. You may also have to check the greens throughout the winter and tank water the ones that are drying out. Some good winter fungicides as well prior to putting the blankets down.
