I'm curious for the folks who have deep tine machines. I'd like to know what model you have and where do you use it, on what tractor?

I'm going to be contracting out my greens in the next few weeks for the first time and if this is the success I hope this to be, I'm considering the battle I'd need to do to purchase a unit for the whole course. I do have a quote on a unit right now, but would like to hear more info from who have them.

I've You Tubed a bunch of videos and all of the units have there pluses...

    Thanks.

Soil Reliever SR54 (Same as a Toro ProCore SR54). We run it on a Kubota 3940HST tractor on our greens.

I have a contractor that brings in the SR72HD and does my rough along cart paths. He runs it on a much, much larger tractor.

We haven't had any problems with ours, except we had a bearing go bad once and once it broke, it self destructed quite a bit of the machine. A big mistake as we should have checked the wear before we went out. Otherwise, an awesome machine and I love it.

I bought a Soil Reliever SR72 at a 27-hole course I used to work at and we ran it on greens with a Kubota M4700. If ever given the chance I would buy another one.

Weidenmann XD-6 on a JD 4520 GST with Power Reverser. Just AWESOME. Did all greens and par 3 fairways in a day and half. Then picked away at the remain fairways (3/day). All on the same set of tines. Greens @ 9", Fwys @ 6-7".

Expensive setup, but worth it. I've never been so excited to aerate. I plan to deep-tine fairway traffic zones &/or weak spots again later this month. Little/no disruption.

Weidemann Deep Tine on a Kubota 4630 GTS, does a great job on greens with no tracking etc. Turf Tires all the way around and creeper gear. Expensive set up but we use the tractor for the Lely, renovation, pulverizer, blowers etc. and well worth it.
