Got mine in the other day and noticed it was the ugliest card I have ever received from the gcsaa. Not that I ever get to show it to anyone but did they just go super cheap this year? I use to take pride in having it in my wallet but for some reason I cannot seem to get myself to put it in there this time. Anyone else notice this? Am I just making something out of nothing?
    Oh well back to work.

Really?? I never looked at it.
I need to dig mine out and take a peek.
Although...I think I may have thrown out the envelope a while back

I have my new card right here and it looks the same to me. I keep it handy to go to the tournaments nearby. One of these days I will make it to The Masters.

    James,

The vendor that supplies GCSAA with membership card blanks informed us earlier this year that the cost of the metallic blanks were going to double. In doing our due diligence, as GCSAA always does, our decision was to not double the cost of the membership card blanks, just to continue to offer the metallic finish. If we are able to locate a vendor going forward that can offer the metallic finish on membership card blanks at a reasonable cost, we will definitely take it under consideration.

If you would like to discuss this in greater detail, please feel free to contact me at 785-832-4418 or swoodhead@gcsaa.org

I did not notice. The card is perfectly fine to me.

James, I am impressed that you caught that.

I do admit that the gold metallic cards looked a lot better, but I completely understand the cost issue and making savings where possible (I have to do it everyday at my own club). No need to discuss it any more. it is what it is! besides I generally only take mine out of my wallet once per year (when I have to put the new one in). The old ones looked a whole lot better but not at double the cost.
Thanks for taking the time to explain this to me!

Scott, I keep saying the same thing, but I really do not want to do it by myself so I have been waiting for another one of my members to go so I can join them.
