I grew Centipede in Cairo, Egypt for a couple of years. We had it on our outer rough on 4 holes, in areas outside of play.
We purchased the seed from the states and started a nursery, so we could sprig the areas when ready. It is slow-growing, but did well in that climate. Cairo has long cool winters, where warm season grasses go dormant or just about.
It was very low maintenance, once established I fertilized it very little. It does not handle traffic very well, so it needs to be in areas away from any or very little cart traffic.
During the growing season we would only cut it once about every three weeks, and that was only to cut off the seed heads, as we did not want the seeds spreading to the other areas.
