While cleaning up the shop we have come across a few bags of Grigg's 7 iron, there are not spreader settings on the bag and I am looking for a starting point for calibration. We only have a few bags so I hate to use it up in the calibration process from scratch. We have lesco rotaries, so if any of your guys out there have a "ballpark" starting point I would be grateful.
    Thanks
    Curtis

    Curtis,

Check out the PDF below from the Griggs website regarding the starting point for the 7-Iron calibration.

Also, I just wanted to point out a tool, known as the Prizelawn Spreader Calibrator, that we use here quite a bit to help with calibration. I'm sure you have probably seen it or a similar device where it will collect the fertilizer you are calibrating with in a pan, and then allow for easier weighing after the fact. Depending on the amount of products you calibrate each year, you can typically save the cost of the calibrator in about two years. Below is a link of what the product looks like.

    I hope this helps.
