Anyone using surveilance cameras on their course? We have an ignorant neighbor who has done dumb things in the past like putting a salt lick in the middle of one of our greens in the winter, throws inappropriate things on the green, etc. But this morning was the ultimate, as he spread rock salt on the green and fairway. i cannot prove he was the one, but am 99% sure, and would like to catch him in the act next time. Anyone using these cameras? What types are you using? What kind of range do they have? Are they good for day and night? Any help would be appreciated.

Check into the game trail cameras. You can even monitor them from the comfort of your own home.

At one point a few years ago, our local police department was going to loan us their night vison, motion activated camera, to catch neighbors that we suspected were sneaking on to the course at night to cut branches on our trees. That is probably what you need. Check in the Northern catalog for similar units, I think.

    The trail cameras work great....

....until the flash goes off. Then you end up with salt on your fairway and no trail camera.

They sell IR cameras that don't flash.

A couple of the Moultrie cams, in security boxes, about twelve feet up in a tree... and the email coming to your smart phone... though I like the Claymore as a backup!

Huff keeps the claymore mines next to the Floratine products in his chemical shed.
