The operator said it just died all of a sudden. We replaced to blown fuses. It started for a second and keeps blowing fuses. Anyone have this problem?

Sounds like something is getting overloaded. I'd check for wires that may be shorting out. Another thing to check might be all of the safety switches: i.e. seat switch, neutral safety switch, blade engage switch, etc.

What year is the unit? Have you checked for service bulletins? There are some wiring reworks that affect fused circuits, depending on model year.

Go to the big master connection in the wiring harness, you will most likely find corrosion and moisture in there. Should be under the seat or floor pan. Clean it out really well and use dielectric grease in the connections and see if that helps. That is the only time I have ever had an issue with the 4700.

We had that happen on our 4700 when the stop engine solenoid was going bad. The solenoid was pulling too much current and blowing fuses.

I agree with Rodney, check the fuel solenoid. Pull and hold on the solenoid use 2 different fuses but share the same ground.
