Greens construction sand selection and thatch Cancel The title field is required!

   Talking about it with another Super, he said me that (in the USGA particle size distribution range) if you select a thicker sand, the future greens with be more prone to thatch than if you select the thinner size.
   
   I've never heard it, in fact I believe that the thicker particles would have more O2 circulation and will be more microbial activity so more thatch decomposition in the future.
   
   I just would like to know some of your thoughts and if you have some info.
