A local General Contractor can take it from concept to finished product. You can rough sketch what you want, and they can engineer from there, along with cost estimates, to meet local codes. I would suggest going this route since no one knows local or state building codes and steps for approval more than a local guy. Just make sure you approve of the concept and work hand in hand with the GC the whole way.

At my last course we had a member that was a General Contractor. We traded out a 20 year membership for his fees. He took my ideas and drawing and built the building.

I've built two maintenance facilities and did exactly what Andy suggested. I created the basic design and layout and worked with a GC to get it built. You can also work with a company like Morton Buildings.

I visited about a dozen maintenance buildings before I built the last one. I was seeking input on what they would do different if they had a chance to do it again. You can never build it big enough. We built the building as large as we could on the property that was available and it was 7000ft2. We thought that would be plenty of space when we started but we ran out of room in a year.
