I sprayed a witches brew on the greens a week ago and had some phyto on the greens....nothing bad but noticeable to me. It has recovered but I'm looking to find out what caused the issue.
I've sprayed the combo before with the exception of one of the ingredients without an issue. I think I know which one not to add in the future, if I spray it again, but I'm not sure why it would cause the problem
I'm not much of a chemistry guy so I'm wondering if someone who is, can spot what caused it

Sprayed in 2 gallons of water/1000. 70F, not watered in until that night. Poa bent, only the poa was hit, the bent looked fabulous and no, there is no typo with the ferrous

    Daconil 2787 @ 4.26oz/m
    Ammonium sulphate @ .11lbs/N/m
    Magnesium Sulphate @ 3oz/m
    Ferrous Sulfate @ 10.67 oz/m
    Griggs Fairphyte 1-0-26 @ 4.22 oz/m
    Primo @ .14 oz/m
    Revolution @ 6 oz/m

Thanks for any help, and ya, I know I'm nuts

My initial guess would be the 30#/ac of FeSo4 is the culprit. Seeing as how that is roughly a 30% Sulfur product, combined with the AmSulf and MagSulf, you got a lot of Sulfur there buddy!

Wrong Mr Huff, Wrong Clay, one of 3 Andy. You nailed it, but not the most obvious one.

I am a revolution guy after seeing phyto issues on various wetting agents...but that's alot of stuff in the tank. I generally try to keep my wetting agents out of the witches brew, even when its a pain to get out. No issues for me mixing fert with Revolution, but I always spin the heads at application and water that night. Good luck.

I agree, but I always try to push it to the limit. Sometimes it works, sometimes you go over the top. I'm old now so I don't have to worry as much. Tenure has its advantages

Do you see any issues with Revolution getting tied up near the top when spinning heads?

I always spray my Revolution alone, can put my other stuff out in my Primo application, but I wait until just before dark to water in and I water a solid 30 to 40 minutes to push it down into the soil profile. I'm in the transition zone on bent and have never seen any burn.

We see some tip burn here when applying ammonium sulphate with temps higher than 75 if it is not given a couple turns of the heads to wash it off the leaf. We have even switched our liquid K to one that has no sulfur to help eliminate the amount of sulfur going out and minimize tip burn potential . It's easy to point at the revolution but taking out the "hot" items from the tank and spraying revolution no issues at all and it doesn't get watered in until that night.

From what I have been told, and this has changed my approach to wetting agents, is to not spin heads after application and to water them in to where you want them in the soil. That little bit of water activates the chemical and will stay tied up in the top of the soil. Same as Mel, we water at night 30 min, approx .3" of water, on sand greens with revolution.

I attempted to attaché the Revolution users guide.

    Hopefully it works.

The one ingredient in the mix that I believe caused the problem was the Magnesium Sulfate. I don't know if it was a cumulative sulfate effect as Andy suggested or the magnesium itself. I have used this mix many times without the Magnesium Sulfate with no phyto, and even at much higher temperatures. In place of the Magnesium Sulfate I usually had Manganese Sulphate and had no issues
