   Hey Turfies,
   
   Just wondering if anyone's ever used shaving cream as a foam marker when fertilizing with a spreader? or is evening safe to use on turf?
   
   I've heard of guys using shaving cream to mark sprinkler heads when aerating, but not as a marker.

   We use it to mark sprinklers when aerating. We place the foam on the turf because the residue sticks to the sprinklers for quite a while. Barbasol is safe on turf, but the foam will last all day. If you are using it as a marker for fertilizing it will stick around even with a couple rotations of sprinklers.
