I have some projects that will require sod. It is cold and my irrigation system is winterized. Can I still lay sod? Will it go dormant or will it desiccate? I know sod farms are still cutting but I have no way to water it.

I would say still do it. I have had it go both ways but more times than not it's fine. If you have to water it you can use your sprayer to water it.

I would agree with Tim. It will not need much water due to the cold temps but you can use a sprayer to keep it alive until you get rain or a snow.

Should be good as long as they are cutting it...fab a hose off your sprayer if you need to water. Can put it right off your electric boom valve if you don't have a hose setup

For me it's the best time to do it. Lay it down and let mother nature take care of it. I've had sod knit it self over the winter.
