Like Kevin I've used a straight Nutrisphere 46-0-0 too, also not from Anderson's. Went out at 2 lbs N in late May the past two years looking for an all-summer slow release. It's definitely more like a soluble than a coated product like Polyon as far as the quickness of release and the actual application. It will burn and you need to water it in immediately. You see a response quick, just like regular urea, and from my experience you will get an 8 to 12 week feed out of it, but don't expect anything more than that. I'm on a lot heavier clay soil, though, so maybe that has something to do with getting a longer response. My main reason for using it was the price, around $16 per 50 lb bag at the time.
