Anybody have comments on it or the home run derby? Kansas City fans really taking a beating booing Cano for not picking Butler. I could have seen it somewhat during the contest, but during the game the next day?
Heard the futures game was sold out, probably because the Royals have some great future players in it.
Did hear a funny comment on local radio yesterday.
Caller had attended, and was talking with friends from NYC, Yankee fans, and their only complaint was there were no bars or restaurants close by or in the neighborhood of the stadium. (for any who don't know, Kauffman is out east of the city on I-70, not downtown like some stadiums.) Well the host of the program ended up saying the same thing I was thinking, I have been to old Yankee stadium in the 90's when I lived in NJ. He said, he thought there might be a couple of bars there, but not a place your going to hang out in. He said he would hop back on the subway or taxi and get the "hell" back to Manhattan after a game. So it was kind of ironic that these fans had said that. Well unless it's because they were hoping for that kind of flavor around the ballpark that seems to be in St. Louis, (although I didn't see much up around there either when we were at the Dome for a band contest last fall), Chicago, Boston, etc.
