Wanted to hear from Supers how have success eliminating crabgrass in bent/poa greens using herbicide products. I understand it probably will only be pre-emergents. Rates and timing would be helpful.

I used bensulide on my bent/poa greens/aprons for years and stopped about 8 years ago and haven't had an issue until this year. Both the bensulide and Dimension products would be used off label, but I can't have another crabgrass breakout again next year especially on the collar/apron. Does anyone use bensulide in the Spring?

    Thanks! Tom

After coming across some similar discussions on the forum, I decided to give Drive a chance on 2 greens that have had crab issues. I mixed up a backpack loosely calibrated at 2 gal/M with Drive (0.5 oz/M) plus surfacant at the same rate, five days ago. As of today the crab looks like it has been through a hard frost and I'm not seeing any discoloration or regulated growth in the bent (L-93.)
