Plexiglass over aerial photo?

I just received an aerial photo from our planning office to hang in the break room. Was going to put plexiglass over it. What can I draw on plexiglass with and still erase it afterwards? Dry erase marker? Do they still make grease pencils? Don't think that will come as clean though.

I also have an irrigation map with plexiglass over it, and would like to make non permanent notes on that as well, such as closed valves or certain heads marked off.

Any suggestions? Something better than plexiglass? I could see where smart boards hooked to computers could really come in handy for what I'm wanting to do but were still a long ways away from that here.

    Thanks!

    Dry erase works.

Permanent marker works as well....just scribble over it with dry erase and wipe away....try it.

I prefer wet erase markers. During construction I carried laminated plans with me that I could make notes on with wet erase markers, and then could wipe them off with a damp rag.

I had mixed results with the dry erase markers. The plexiglass seemed to absorb it somewhat, making it hard to erase if it's left on more than a couple of weeks. Haven't tried the wet erase yet.

Also had a friend tell me that the company that does aerial photos for them gives them a wall picture that has a coating that makes them dry erase.

I wonder if a sign company could do that for us? I know our old boss had a sign company make us a task tracking board that is set up for dry erase.

I had an aerial laminated for us. The laminating company said that they needed to use a special type of laminate to allow the use of the markers. Whatever they used worked great.
