Mary Lee is a 3500# white shark that has been frolicking in the waves off of Jacksonville Beach over the past 24 hours.

First, I would save "frolicking in the waves" for its proper purpose... 3,500# sharks are not it. :P

Second, I think maybe she had a meal around noon on the 8th... moving awfully slow afterwards!

Where great whites give birth has always been a mystery. A few shark experts think they may go south to give birth. Maybe you guys have a mom about to deliver hanging around. With all the cool tracking of great whites, the ones that hang around Massachusetts have been recorded heading south during the winter and the ones off San Francisco and Santa Cruz have been found everywhere from off Baja to inside the Golf of CA all the way to Hawaii. Those TV programs showing the shark hunters tagging the big critters were always interesting programs. Some answers on the life and travels of the great white have been provided. Growing up a surfer kid kind of developed an interest in where sharks may be hanging out!
