    Hi all

Going on a road trip this December, is South Carolina still good for golf that time of the year? What is the temp and weather like?

    Thanks

I'm in Myrtle Beach every Thanksgiving and the weather for golf is great. Maybe some frost but then nice days. I have seen people in the ocean but it is a little too chilly for me. Always nice enough to sit on the beach though. Tons of DC folks go down on the government holidays, Mr. Luther in Jan. and Presidents Day in Feb. and the weather is hit or miss. Frequently some nasty, cold days unless you are Canadian. Go for it. Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

    Michael,
It is hard to say, especially this year, what the weather will be in SC. But like we say down here: If you don't like the weather today just wait 24 hours, it will be different. That is pretty true here. Dec. typically highs in the mid to upper 50's and maybe a 60. Lows in the 30's and usually good golf weather by 10 am. It depends where in SC you are going though. Temps vary widely from Greenville to Myrtle Beach to Hilton Head. To me it is worth the savings to come in Dec. Hotels and Golf reach the lowest point in Dec and Jan. I have worn shorts up until Christmas before but the temps vary greatly from year to year. Enjoy your trip to SC.
    Mike
