Tyler Daniels said: Didn't watch this video, but the golf boys video bubba, hunter, rickie, and the most overrated Ben crane did was more of a slap in the face to us real golfers then anything! I was embarrassed for them! No wonder this business is suffering. I'd bet Arnold Palmer wants to slap these guys in the face if he could even stomach watching it!
Ah, nah. Golf needs to reinvent itself for, dare I say it, sustainability and the good of the game and our profession. I'm approaching 50 and I love classic courses/tradition but the geezer-school of golf for the masses is gone. Sure, the high-end classic courses have their place but not for golf as a whole, not any longer. Golf needs fun and creativity a la the 16th at the Phoenix Open. That's the reality of the times. Like Rickey Fowler, Bubba/Hunter/Charles Barkley, and the rest need to encourage the "youngsters", women, and minorities to the courses. Over time these new-bees and return-ees become regulars. Fun, family, time, cost, and difficulty are the new metrics for successful golf as a whole.
