    Good Evening;

    Just curious what you may think about what's happening between Cuba and the USA. It has been a little more than a half century since we broke our ties with Cuba.

    I am not an Obama fan, matter of fact I have no use for him. However, no matter what the politicians say, I think Mr. Obama did a good thing this time and I don't mean trading the prisoners but to bring relations back between our country and Cuba. We must remember the Pope was also involved, and he seems to be a good guy.

    What many of us forget is that it is the people who suffer and many, many Cubans have been suffering for over 50 years. Now we do have some American criminals that escaped to Cuba and in time I'm sure will be turned back to the USA.

    Now, I don't mean to bring back Casinos or Prostitution but farming, tourism and amongst other things CUBAN CIGARS!!

    What is your take on the relationship between Cuba and the USA.

    Well so long as its even trading between countries I'm all for it. Not like its been in the past where we give more and more while our Veterans, and others go without help. I am a firm believer in take care of our own first. We have so many children, elderly, and veterans out there who can't find jobs and are not getting taken care of that we need to start taking care of them first before we start giving away to other nations. Just my opinion

    I have been living in South Florida and Miami most of my adult life. It is past time to normalize relations with Cuba in my opinion. I would love them to field a MLB Team!

    Capt,

    The term is Cuba Libra', Liberate Cuba. Time is way beyond overcome to open the doors to redevelop realistic proper relationship with the people of Cuba. The time of the Castro's as leaders and dictators in Cuba is over and the future there is open for a true potential for democracy. If we are smart and lead them down that road a true good future exists for all to welcome. It is amazing to see pictures of the people in Cuba driving cars from the 50's keeping them running and to me its like being at a antique car club show! I would love to go there and share my love for those cars with them as well as a good Cuban cigar the best in the world! Cuba a country that in the past was our close neighbor a true winter fun place to go escaping cold for great beaches and warm days. It can still be that as the people of Cuba are nice and would welcome the business opportunity to restore economic growth to their country!

    Normalizing relations with Cuba doesn't mean we start giving them money, does it?

    Yes, it probably does. We give them our tax dollars and they turn around and buy stuff from us with it.

    All I can say is it's great to start-up relations with these other countries, but JokeObama is running this country in to the ground!! We need to start building relations with our own Military, to whom we've seem to be taking/cutting their benefits. Build the VA back up so we can take care of our Hero's that come back from defending our great country. Build back up the American manufacturing, and get more americans employed. Start exporting more goods than we're importing. America is in great need of a total makeover. Is it good to help others, why sure it is, but lets start here with our country first.

    Regards,

    Isn't that what China does with the USA? China loans us money buying government bonds and we turn around and buy their stuff.
